I would like to officially welcome everyone back after track out. I hope that everyone had a wonderful break and Thanksgiving holiday! Now that we are all well rested, we only have 7 more days until our next break!
During track out and during this past week of school I have been very busy with taking trips with Flat Stanley and traveling to other schools in NC to see what kinds of technology students are using elsewhere. Recently I traveled to Mt. Airy schools and was welcomed into many intermediate classrooms where I observed and talked with students and staff. During this trip I got lots of ideas about how to use our iPods! I'm so excited to start exploring more advanced ways to use our technology in our classroom and allow all students to be successful with their 21st century skills!
Winter Celebration!
It is December 11th and we have already seen our 1st snow here in Raleigh and the holiday break is quickly approaching. In order to wrap things up before our break I would like to invite our Team Sonntag families to come celebrate the season with us. On Friday, December 17th we will be decorating ornaments in the classroom. During this time we will need lots of parent help, so please email me or send a note into school if you would like to volunteer! Afterwards we will be eating lunch in the classroom and are hoping that parents will be willing to donate food and drink items to the celebration. Some suggestions are: pizza, chips, pretzels, dip, veggies, popcorn, cookies, cupcakes, juice boxes, fruit, and/or anything else you would like to bring!! Please let us know if you will be helping out during the craft and/or bringing a treat to the party. Of course all parents are encouraged to stay and eat with us!
Below is a tentative schedule of events:
Ornament decorating - 9:30 to 11am
Lunch - 11:10 to 12:00
Clean up & Social Studies - 12 to 12:55
Students go to specials - 12:55
